Cosmetic surgery is about improving appearance through surgical and medical techniques. Cosmetic surgery is usually performed on areas of head, neck and body. The function of the part where cosmetic surgery is done is intact and the surgery aims only to improve the looks. So, the surgery is elective or optional.
Cosmetic surgery is different from plastic surgery because while cosmetic surgery is an option and improves only aesthetics, plastic surgery involves reconstruction of the defects on face and body that occur due to trauma, burns, disease or birth disorders like cleft palate. Breast enlargement or augmentation
Involves increase in size or changing the shape of breasts by placing implants. Breast lift involves removing excess skin and reshaping of breast tissue to raise the breasts. Breast enlargement increases the size of the breasts while breast life does not.
Injectable dermal filler is the most common method of lip augmentation, to give fuller and plumper lips. Collagen was being used, but recently has been replaced with hyaluronic acid. This procedure is not permanent and the effects last around 6 months.
This procedure is to gently ‘sand down’ or ‘scrape’ the top layer of the skin using a specialized tool. The abrasions on the scraped areas heal to become a fine and smooth skin. This procedure is also called rhinoplasty and involves repairs or reshapes the nose. It is done for cosmetic reasons or for medical reasons like breathing difficulties or birth defects.

Hair is removed from an area of thick growth and implanted in the bald area to restore hair growth in that area.
